Christine is an independent strategic communication consultant with more than 30 years of experience across the non-profit, government and private sectors. Her work focuses on communication management, change and stakeholder engagement, supported by experience in business development, research, social investment, training and facilitation. She obtained her SCMP certification in 2022.
She works closely with clients to turn complex strategies into clear, practical communication that supports business outcomes. Her approach is collaborative and grounded in design thinking, with a strong focus on what works in real-world environments.
Christine started her career in the private sector and later gained experience across local government, defence, health and the non-profit space. She now leads her own consultancy, partnering with organisations to design and implement communication and stakeholder engagement strategies that are relevant, practical and sustainable.
Her work often includes research, facilitation and the development of tools that help leaders and teams communicate more effectively. She believes that clear communication and meaningful stakeholder engagement are critical to building trust and delivering results.
She regularly facilitates workshops, presents at conferences and supports universities and organisations with communication training. She also works with non-profit organisations in an advisory capacity, where communication is a key enabler. Committed to NPOs, she lends support in communication needs and advisory capacities.
Christine’s accolades include the IABC International Best of the Best Award, Gold Quill, and Silver Quill for the VWSA Communication Excellence Training for Leaders program (as an associate for Devcom). She contributed to the Aurecon team’s Gold Award for International Facilitation for the Assmang Housing Project and earned recognition for work on the Kom uit vir Afrikaans campaign for the Afrikaanse Taal en Kultuur Verening (ATKV). She garnered the SACOB award for Best Membership Growth during her tenure with the Witbank Chamber of Commerce.
Christine contributes to the profession by serving on judging panels for the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Silver Quill Awards, MACE Awards and the South African Publication Forum. She has also served on the board of the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) SADC and participated in the USA International Visitor Leadership Program. Her work has also been recognised by the International Association of Business Communicators with the Rae Hamlin Award.
