The IABC’s prestigious Silver Quill Awards play a pivotal role in benchmarking communication impact on the African continent, and celebrating the innovation and skills of communicators who meet and exceed the IABC’s global Standards of Excellence.
“The Quill Awards aren’t just about winning. They are about setting the standard for communication excellence in Africa,” said Therésa Lee, IABC Africa’s Director for the Quill Awards. “They are also a terrific launch pad for the IABC’s Gold Quill Awards, the international awards programme through which African communicators are evaluated against their global peers. Achieving this level of professional recognition opens doors to new opportunities that can help communication professionals excel in their careers and achieve international acclaim.”
Camilla Osborne, Chair of the IABC Africa Region, explains the process of evaluation: “The Silver Quill Awards is underpinned by a stringent evaluation process. The process rigorously tests each entrant against the latest IABC Quill Standard of Excellence guidelines, ensuring only the most deserving communicators are recognised. A panel of moderators verify that the evaluators’ scoring and feedback are uniformly applied, safeguarding the integrity and credibility of the Quill Awards.
“We are delighted to celebrate this year’s African standard bearers. Congratulations to all the award recipients, as well as those who entered, but were not recognised this year. The mere fact that you entered proves your dedication to communication excellence – we encourage you to participate in our benchmarking awards again next year.”
