IABC Africa has kicked off the 2020 Regional Silver Quill Awards, the programme that recognises business communication excellence across the continent.
The Quill Awards programme salutes work that makes a significant contribution to business outcomes. Evaluators will review each entry against IABC’s standard of excellence, seeking whether communicators are able to demonstrate the impact their work has had on business goals, and, that are innovative and unique. The aim is to encourage the pursuit of excellence rather than competition.
It is time for recognition and reward from our peers, says Carol Allers, IABC Africa Regional Chairperson. “African communicators produce exceptional work in all areas of corporate communication, from implementing corporate strategies, to building stakeholder relations, driving public policy and engaging and motivating employees. The IABC recognises communication excellence at a regional and at a global level. I would like to encourage all communicators, whether members of IABC or not, to submit their work. Entries will be evaluated by seasoned communicators. Entrants will receive detailed feedback to help them learn and grow, and that can be used if they want to enter the IABC Global Gold Quill Awards.”
In today’s fast-paced world, it has become even more important for great communicators to be recognised, rewarded and celebrated.
