IABC Pretoria: Buzz 18 April 2007

Flex the right muscles for better communication

1. Life-coach Graham le Sar

Our first Buzz of 2007 features life coach Graham le Sar. There won’t be any running, jumping of iron pumping, but the coach will share some secrets to help ease the stiffness out of your organization’s communication joints by focusing on:
How issues of powerlessness can paralyse management communication
How you can assist your manager to overcome the paralysis
How to shift your stuff (and help your manager to shift his/hers)
  Emotional intelligence

2.

Case study: Strike the work/life balance - with management support

Sasol Technology recently successfully implemented the “Work, Life & Beyond” programme, an initiative designed to assist and coach individuals to excel in today’s stressful work environment. The ultimate outcome was to equip employees with the skills to function at their optimum potential by managing work and home life effectively and learning practical techniques to achieve inner calm and physical health. Karin Kleynhans, Communications Manager for Sasol Technology, will inspire you with this Gold Quill nominated case study.

Apart from thought provoking insights into communication, the Buzz will live up to its reputation of being an excellent networking platform.
